First time in the salt.

First time in the salt.
Made my first ever trip to the salt. Took the family to Emerald Isle, NC. Not knowing anything about saltwater flyfishing other than what I've researched, a few friends that do it and the local flyshop here...I am having a blast! Not the most glamorous of species but I found this guy that was eager to eat a brown over orange clouser.

Also had a couple of other hookups so far. One was in a backwater marsh that wrapped me up in some dock pilings. The other sheared my loop knot on the grab in the surf. Had the headshake and poof...it was gone!
